A social-innovation project where individuals, teams, and companies take stewardship of a 1km river stretch and care for it with the help of AI-assisted citizen-science measurement.

ITA Seoul is an approved nonprofit partner of the 1% for the Planet global network. Member businesses worldwide can direct their 1% environmental commitments to our river-adoption pilot.

How it works

Adopt one stretch — 100m for citizens & families, 1km for teams & companies. Visit on a regular schedule, log photos and GPS through our app, and contribute data that is open, standardized, and AI- ready. Outputs feed both Korean public-data systems and global citizen-science networks (Adopt-a-Stream / NOAA MDT / iNaturalist compatible).

  • Corporate — Team adopts a 1km stretch. ESG reporting data included.
  • Family / Individual — 100m weekend stewardship. Volunteer hours certified via the 1365 system.
  • School — Class-level citizen-science activity, cross-school data comparison via NEIS.

The data live on this site comes from a 2019–2020 citizen IoT cleanup-boat and youth water-rangers program in Uiamho (Chuncheon). See the archive for the back story.
